Common questions
Everything you need to know about ClarifySEO.
Getting started
What is ClarifySEO?
ClarifySEO connects to your Google Search Console and Analytics data to generate a prioritised SEO audit report. It analyses your rankings, traffic, click-through rates, and keyword gaps — then produces a clear action plan with specific recommendations, a web report, and a downloadable Word document.
Do I need a Google account?
Yes — you sign in with Google so we can access your Search Console data. No API keys or manual exports required.
How long does an audit take?
Around 60–90 seconds from connecting your data to receiving your report.
Is my first audit really free?
Yes. No credit card required. After your first audit, additional reports are £15 each.
Data & privacy
What data do you access from Google?
We access your Google Search Console data — search queries, page performance, click-through rates, and position data. If GA4 is connected to your account we also read traffic channel and page engagement data. We never access your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google services.
Do you store my data?
We store only what is needed to generate and display your report. Your data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used to train AI models. It is used solely to generate your audit and improve site functionality.
Can you see my website's private data?
No. We only read data that Google Search Console and Google Analytics have already collected and made available to you as the site owner. We cannot access your server, CMS, database, or any data outside of what Google provides.
The report
What does the report include?
Headline metrics, biggest opportunities, commercial keyword gap analysis, search visibility by page, device and geographic performance, a prioritised action plan, and a monitoring section. Delivered as a web report and a downloadable Word document, emailed on completion.
How is this different from Ahrefs, Semrush, or Screaming Frog?
Most SEO tools give you data — ClarifySEO interprets it. Rather than presenting raw metrics, every data point is cross-referenced across your queries, pages, traffic channels, and click-through rates to identify where commercial opportunity is being lost. The report tells you specifically what is happening, why it matters to your business, and what to do about it — ordered by impact, not alphabetically or by volume.
How is this different from Google Search Console?
GSC gives you the numbers — impressions, clicks, positions. ClarifySEO feeds all of that data into an AI model that cross-references every query, page, device, and channel simultaneously — making connections that would take hours to spot manually. The result is a report that tells you what the numbers mean for your business and exactly what to do about it.
What if my site has no GSC data yet?
GSC data is the foundation of your audit. We recommend connecting at least 28 days before running your first audit — the more history GSC has, the more your report can surface.
Can I share the report with my team or client?
Yes — anyone with the report link can view it. You can also download the Word document and share it directly.
Payment
How does pay per report work?
Each audit is a one-off £15 payment. You pay, the audit runs, the report is yours permanently.
Can I run audits on multiple sites?
Yes — each audit is per property. You can run audits on as many sites as you own or manage.
What happens after I use my free audit?
Additional audits are £15 each, or £40/month for 10 audits on a subscription. You'll be prompted to pay before your next audit runs.
Technical
What is Google Search Console?
A free Google tool that tracks how your site appears in Google Search — what queries you rank for, how many impressions and clicks each page gets, and any technical issues Google has found. You need to verify ownership of your site to use it.
My site isn't in GSC yet — can I still use ClarifySEO?
You need to add your site to Google Search Console first. It's free and takes around 10 minutes. Once verified, allow at least 2–4 weeks for GSC to collect enough data before running your first audit.
Do you support GA4?
Yes — if your Google account has GA4 access for the same property, we automatically include traffic channel, page engagement, and conversion data in your report.
